Red Sox player Justin Turner plans to continue playing despite a bone bruise in his left heel. He will serve as Boston’s designated hitter for the time being, but won’t be playing in the field. Turner had missed seven out of ten games at the start of August due to his injury. Despite doctors recommending 4-6 weeks off his feet, Turner has decided to finish the season hobbled. His injury will limit Red Sox positionally and they will have to get creative with infield depth.
