Cem Bolukbasi, a 25-year-old Turkish driver, is considering the Japanese Super Formula series for 2023. His mentor Richard Bradley, who raced in Super Formula in 2013 before moving on to a successful sportscar racing career, has been impressed by Bolukbasi’s performances so far at the TGM Grand Prix squad. Despite being only in his third full year of single-seaters, Bolukbasi finished his first Super Formula race at Fuji inside the points and scored a second top-10 finish at Suzuka. However, struggles in qualifying have kept him from adding to his tally in subsequent rounds.

Bolukbasi started racing real cars only in 2019 and joined single-seaters when he entered the Formula Regional Asia series in 2021. He then moved on to Euroformula Open where he won on debut and finished fifth overall before moving to F2 with Charouz team which was cut short due to financial issues.

Bradley believes that if Bolukbasi can improve his qualifying performance and continue with his impressive race pace, he will be a regular fixture among the top ten drivers.
