Basketball legend George McGinnis is set to be inducted into the Indiana University Athletics Hall of Fame this fall. McGinnis led his high school team to a state championship in 1969 before playing one season for the Hoosiers, during which he led the Big Ten in scoring and rebounding. He then signed with the Indiana Pacers, leading them to two American Basketball Association championships. After moving to the NBA in 1976, he scored over 17,000 points across his professional career. McGinnis was previously named to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017.
