Stanaway Potentially Securing Seat at Grove Supercars

New Zealand racing driver Richie Stanaway is expected to make a full-time return to Supercars with Grove Racing, partnering with fellow Kiwi Matt Payne. This comes after Stanaway was overlooked for a full-time Triple Eight ride for 2024. He was initially thought to be the replacement for Shane van Gisbergen at NASCAR, but that seat will now go to Will Brown. Stanaway had a brief and tumultuous stint as a Supercars driver in 2018 and 2019, leaving the sport entirely at the end of 2019 after two difficult campaigns. However, he made a wildcard appearance at Bathurst in 2022 and has expressed openness to making a full-time comeback.
